The Co-Creator is our green consciousness periodical that over six issues will bring together human settlement (ecovillages), housing (earthships and other passive houses), education (children in nature, forest schools), philosophy (permaculture), culture (collaborative culture) and planetary stewardship. It is an ambitious project with an aim of connecting people to people through literature with a focus on human social evolution. Here on the website ecovillages.ca, we expand on this mission with workshops, events and future online forums.
Hosted by James Pappas of CJNU, The Co-Creator launch party is an admission-free panel with individuals who are reinventing culture and society in the direction of cooperation with an ethos of carbon negative activities. It will take place at Sam’s Place at 159 Henderson Highway on May 20 at 3pm. There will be live music and a chance to network with people who are taking action to live and do better for the planet and each other in new and exciting ways.
The folks with Northern Sun Farm have been living nearly off-grid in Southern Manitoba for almost 30 years. Co-founder Gerhard Dekker will be present, talking about his experience and sharing how permaculture is reflected in their community. Others from Northern Sun Farm will also be present, sharing their stories. Myriad Village is a forming ecovillage in the Interlake that will also have co-founder Justin Lecocq and others present to talk about their project.
